Ethiopia has a long history of traditional textile & garment
manufacturing that is endowed with profound national culture up to this
date. The traditional clothes are made with culture-based cloth that
represents Ethiopia’s sense of pride and dignity. Most people wear
traditional cloth locally called “yehager Lebese” literary meaning
national cloth. These clothes are mainly made from cotton that is woven
together in long strips and then sewn together to make cloth. Shinny
threads and a lot of eye catching patterns are also used to decorate
these clothes and make them more elegant.
